The Victorian government has launched the $20 million Small Business Digital Adaptation Program. The program offers rebates of up to $1,200 for SMEs (Small and Micro enterprises) looking to improve their business through application of technology relevant to today’s World.

The new scheme main objective is to help small businesses adapt to the online selling ecosystem.

Victorian based businesses will be able to access a $1,200 Government rebate for selected digital products, from suppliers that have been approved by the Victorian state government.

Hoops to jump through for the Victorian Government Rebate

Under the Victorian Government Program, SMEs can trial digital products – such as online ordering platforms – for up to a month and apply for product workshops.

Business owners then purchase their preferred product, before applying for the $1,200 rebate. The rebate is intended to cover up to 12 months’ access to the selected product.

However, it is important to note that there’s no guarantee the rebate application will be successful.

Registrations for the Digital Adaptation Program will remain open until February 28, 2021, or until funds are exhausted.
