No, you do not have to have tech knowledge to use Flex Catering. The interface was designed based on familiar web layouts and elements, making it easy for you to navigate your way through the software. You may need some training to make the best out of the software.

6. How does it work? .

Flex Catering is a cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) solution. This means you can access the whole software in your browser and on every device. The data is saved in the cloud in real time, enabling better integration between back and front of house operations.

7. What are the modules? .

Flex Catering can be divided into five main modules: Main Catering Software, the Online Ordering Website Module, KDS, Integrations and Reports.

Catering Software: the main module where you find all the tools and features to manage orders from quote to invoicing, events, customers, proposals, product catalogue, food costing, payment and more.

Online Ordering Module: enables your customers to order food and book events online, through the website.

Kitchen Display System (KDS): digital screen that replaces printed or handwritten ticket orders in restaurants and food businesses, allowing for live and updated information to flow through to the kitchen staff.

Integrations enable you to seamlessly integrate with accounting software, online payment gateways, Google calendar, marketing tools and Zapier.

Reports: powerful module enabling you to get all kinds of important information about your orders, events, products, customers, production, sales, suppliers, finances & taxes. Here you also find comprehensive reports to streamline your kitchen production, dispatch and much more.

8. Can Flex Catering be customised? .

Generally speaking, we do not offer customizations for single businesses. In some circumstances we may be able to offer a custom functionality development at an agreed fee.

We have been using Flex Catering for over 4 years in our Perth based catering business. We chose Flex after researching several other platforms and it was the best decision we ever made for the business. From the very start, we were amazed at the amount of time we saved on administration in both the office and kitchen. At first we were concerned about the cost of switching to an online catering program as we are a small business. Flex Catering was the best business decision we made. It has built consistency within the business and provided transparency for our customers. Now customers can view and order from our online menu. Our staff can easily identify the confirmed orders and print specific production reports for the kitchen and drivers.
Customer support is always online and very helpful. New versions are released every few weeks or so with nice additional features which are always very welcome and helpful.
A big thumbs up to the Flex team :)
